39 active submarine cable systems connect the Arab World.

A new report from the Arab Advisors Group profiles the existing and planned submarine cable systems with landing stations in 21 Arab countries by August 2012. The analysis reveals that by 2015, the number of submarine cable systems connecting the Arab countries is expected to reach 48 systems.

The report covers a total of 48 existing and planned submarine cable systems in the Arab world. The report mainly focuses on and profiles the main submarine cable systems in the Arab World with landing stations in three or more countries. The profiles include information such as the submarine cable’s length, the date of launch, the system’s total capacity, vendors and the cable system’s landing points per country, in addition to the system’s total cost when available.
