e-Government on the march in the Arab World: 12 Arab countries have already launched e-Government portals.

By end ofSeptember, 2009, 12 Arab countries had an electronic government portal, theseare; Bahrain, Egypt,Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon,Mauritania, Morocco, Qatar,Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia and the UAE. While in the United Arab Emirates there is a dedicatedgovernment portal for each emirate, UAE’s federal government website and Syria’sgovernment portal are still under construction."
